2009 Summer BBQ Reunion
After watching thunderstorms in the forecast
all week, the Lord cleared the skies and gave us a perfect day!
Everyone enjoyed great food and great company. We had moon bounces,
snow cones, face painting and playgrounds for the kids. Some of the
adults engaged in friendly games of horseshoes.
We were thrilled to see former faculty
members Tom and Barbara Smith and Carol Holmes. Vicki Murray
and Craig Daliessio were among those who traveled from out of state
to attend. Jerry Factor, Jr. even walked all the way down the
lane and across the softball field to attend!
I would love to mention everyone who was
there, but we were so happy to see Dale Bendler, Lydia Alexander, Janet
Ferguson, James Dowell, Tom Newburn, Donna Keller, Will Cisneros, Michelle
Phillips, Melody Parrish, Sherri Phillips, Tammy Coldiron, Kate Kelley,
Brittney Long, Pastor Carlo and Mrs. D, Neil Webster, Jerry and Renae
Factor, Mike and Sharon Phillips, Bill Targett, Eddie Burgess, Bob Brown and
Stephanie Frye (married names left out to protect the guilty!), Stephanie
VanVeen, Franklin and her parents, Tracey Colon and fiance, Joyce
Clemens....maybe I did mention everyone! (I'm sure I'll hear about
someone I failed to mention!)
Roughly 50 adults attended, along with the
kids and grandkids. THANKS EVERYONE FOR A GREAT DAY! (By the
way, we recovered about half of our expenses...thanks for chipping in!)

2009
Homecoming Banquet
The 2008 Homecoming Banquet was a great
success. We estimated about 30 past graduates attended the banquet.
The Homecoming Court of 2009 was introduced to us, and we had an
awesome catered dinner, served by Corey Waters and his group! Banners
were unveiled for several Girls Championship Volleyball and Basketball
Teams. We also now have a new banner for FCS 1,000 and 1,500 point
scorers. We failed to note that Chuck Short scored 1,000 from the free
throw line, but that feat has yet to be substantiated! Thanks to
Stephanie Robinson for 2 beautiful songs!
Saturday was a blast as well, as 12 alumni
showed up for a highly competitive co-ed volleyball match. The guys
followed with several games of basketball (this author didn't make it past
the 1/2 court 4 on 4!)
We're looking to build on the momentum from
the excitement generated by this year's attendees! Stay tuned for more
FCS Alumni news!

2008 Fall Concert -
$970
Our first fundraising effort was a big success on many
fronts. Most importantly, the name of the Lord was glorified, and
those who attended were greatly blessed!
We enjoyed a fabulous lineup of FCS graduates, who sang
for the glory of the Lord. Many thanks to
Tracey Colon, Joyce Turner, Jenn Lee, Magen Michael, Andrea Bradigan,
Stephanie Robinson, and of course, Calling Levi! (Rumor has it that
Steph was seen talking to a record producer after the show!)
While we would have liked to have seen better
representation from the alumni, we were able to reconnect with a few fellow
classmates. Let's work harder on this for Homecoming!
Praise the Lord for the $970 we were able to raise for the
school. We were able to achieve this while keeping expenses at $0!
Everything needed to organize the event was completely donated by grads,
Calling Levi, and Chick-Fil-A!
